Confession time: pre-baby I was really judgy of cooking shows where people just put stuff together without finesse. I was like “I watch cooking shows to learn technique not make a quick meal!” Flash forward to working and having a child- you are exhausted. I have tried to find toddler meals that aren’t super stressful to make because on top of cleaning dishes you have to clean a high chair and a child. Now, I’m like get it on the table and get that baby smiling
When I was a moody teen/lady in my twenties I wanted to be anything but basic. Now that I’m a working mom in my thirties-give me all the basic things. Leggings=best thing ever! Pumpkin spice rub that all over me. Food Network instead of some gritty drama? Count me in.
Since the news cycle has been a steady cycle of devastation and I have had a back pain flare up I have been on a Tudor kick. It’s my comfort food of reading. My gory sexy comfort reading.
